Meet the Rode behind the Trip
Annelie Rode is a South African-born designer and creative director with over 20 years of experience in architecture, experiential design, and advertising. She has built her career on humanizing emerging innovations that have the potential to reshape our lives, working in pioneering fields such as synthetic biology, material technology, and robotics—industries that were once stigmatized, much like psychedelics are today.
Guided by a long-standing relationship with plant medicine and the African philosophy of Ubuntu, Annelie’s work reflects a deep empathy for human experience, a strong connection to the natural world, and a commitment to positive change.
Through her new venture, The Rode Trip, she is dedicated to designing inclusive, sustainable, and transformative experiences that prioritize harm reduction and honor the cultural significance and historical depth of psychedelics while fostering a broader acceptance of these life-changing practices.
